Start To Perch Season A Good One
Finally pier fishing has begun. This is the best time of year to fish for Lake Erie perch from the Erie shoreline. Was great to put some line in the water. Fished the Border Patrol today and landed 10 quality fish. Nice slabs with good color and thickness. West wind, strong and bitter. Sunny skies early turning to cloudy. Bite was on before the front. Lots of guys out today, mostly catching little ones. Found the spot. You have to think about deep water for the big ones. Late bite, around 9:30. My buddy Jeff and I were the only ones into the hogs. Hopefully we can get our bud Mike out for a day of perch fishing. I will be fishing for the perch for the next 6-8 weeks, so check back and see how the bite is going.

It was fun Rob! Always a pleasure to fish and BS with you. Looking forward to many great outings but most of the time the bucket is not quite as full. Hopefully next time it will be a tad bit warmer.
